About Me

So who is this girl…

My name is Lisa Federer, and I’m a medical librarian at UCLA’s Biomedical Library, where I was very thrilled to get a job after graduating from UCLA’s library school.  I live in West Hollywood with my dog, Ophelia.  In my free time, I like to bake and cook, knit, play the piano, read, watch indie films and bad horror movies, and drink the best wine I can afford on a librarian’s budget. When I get the time, I like to travel, especially to France, particularly Paris.  I ride a vintage-style scooter that I named Gigi.

…and why should I be reading her blog?

Well, I’m probably biased, but I think I’m a pretty interesting person!  I love learning and reading, and as a librarian and former professor, I really like sharing what I’ve found out.  This is the place where I will do that.  So if you like learning about random things, finding out about what it’s like to be a medical librarian, getting good ideas for stuff to cook or bake, or seeing what one can make with a pair of knitting needles, this is the place for you!
